An interesting book by Rudyard Kipling, a selection of stories in a boarding school. It describes in detail the bullying and abuse by the teachers as it follows a trio of boys and their everyday lives growing up. The book then leads into the character's adult lives in the armed forces of the British Empire, drawing a parallel between their school lives and their roles in the Empire. An uncomfortable but fascinating read.
